This week e-VIS linked our national alert management system, NMVS Alerts, to eAMS to further simplify and strengthen the investigation of alerts within the pharmaceutical supply chain.
For pharmacies, wholesalers, and healthcare providers in Sweden, there will be no changes to the current recommendations and processes for investigating exceptions and alerts from the EMVS. Complaints regarding packs with errors in the EMVS should still be investigated by the MAH together with the end-user with e-VIS on copy.
For MAHs using the eAMS, the connection means that their investigations are automatically shared with e‑VIS – enabling more efficient handling of alerts
e‑VIS will evaluate the connection throughout 2026 to ensure that the alert investigation processes continue to safeguard the integrity of the medicines supply chain and keep it free from falsifications.
